Sometimes words are not enough to explain certain concepts, especially those referring to how to perform a given task on your computer. This is when a screen recording utility like DemoCharge comes in really handy.
DemoCharge lets you easily record any activity on your screen, either using the whole screen, a certain window or a user-defined area as recording set. It works great for recording tutorials, how-to videos and all kinds of demos. The process can be launched by means of hotkeys and once you're finished, it's immediately imported into the program for further editing.
The edition tools included in DemoCharge are quite basic, but still make a good job. You can insert titles, highlight certain elements in the recording or add text fields with extended explanations. The program also features an embedded player to preview your work before exporting it to animated GIF, AVI, Java, Flash or standalone EXE format.
While resulting videos were really good in quality, I missed the possibility to add sound to them. Also, when recording a customized area, the program doesn't show the boundaries of this area so there's no way to check if the video is being properly recorded.
Easily record any screen activity and export it to a variety of formats.
